They were forever bound together by forces from long past. No matter what happened they’d find each other again, one way or another. The golden triangles marked on each of their hands was proof of this.
Link silently looked deep into the campfire. Navi was deep asleep as the stars decorated the sky above. He felt his heart begin to stir while sensing the presence of Zelda and Ganondorf—as if they were right next to him.
Even though they were currently separated by forests, towns, and deserts.
Link knew he had this grand plan set out for him, laid out by the sages and goddesses. His destiny was already set in stone. It had been since the moment he was brought into this world. There was no going back.
But what his heart wanted… It was complicated. And completely against what was laid out for him.
As time passed and as he became familiar with the bond the three of them possessed, the connection deep within each of their souls, everything changed. Even if Link knew what he had to do.
He didn’t know if this connection shifted the feelings of Zelda and Ganondorf.
But it did for him.
