Summary: It was a slow day at Ichinose Kitchen.

It was a slow day at Ichinose Kitchen. Hotaro and Rinne were tasked with helping clean up the place while Mrs. Ichinose went out to get a fresh stock of ingredients. But it being a slow day meant that Hopper1 could find itself roaming freely without a care. Which it was happily doing.

Hotaro tied up his apron and began to put it on, “Thanks again Kudo. I know Sabimaru-senpai and Renge-senpai are on their way too.”

“Hop!” Hopper1 was also vocalizing its appreciation.

“It’s not a problem.”

Helping clean up the kitchen was something that had become a part of the weekly routine for her and the others. Plus it always was a good time to catch up on things, with all the chaos surrounding catching chemies. And now… Loose ends that still needed to be tied up. The battle was far from over.

But she had to ask, “How’s it feel to be able to handle alchemy now?”

His smile instantly lit up the room. Rinne could see how happy he was that someone had asked him about it.

“It’s awesome!!” He looked down at his ring with a grin. “I can finally do the things you guys can do now!”

Hopper1 jumped up onto his shoulder. Happily rubbing into his cheek and making Hotaro laugh. “Hop hopper!”

Rinne couldn’t help but smile at the sight. She just knew deep down that one day Ichinose would become the hot-shot alchemist he dreamed of becoming. He had grown so much since that day they first met. And she did as well.

There was much that still needed to be done. Both in the fight against the Abyssalis Kings, with the future of the chemies now that they had captured them all, and her promise Atropos.

But they were determined.
