Missed You

Spanner dropped everything the moment Minato walked through the apartment door. He had been on a business trip for three weeks, the Alchemys Union sent him off to the Hokkaido branch.

The feeling of loneliness and that something was missing was immediate. The apartment felt so empty without Minato there. Whenever Spanner would look up from the counter and not see his boyfriend from across the room, a sadness punched him in the gut.

It also wasn't an appealing thought that Minato would be dealing with Union relations in an area far away, without him to help. Perhaps things were more organized in Hokkaido compared to here. But Spanner had his reasons to doubt this.

That didn't matter now however. Minato was home.

As Spanner walked towards him he could see how Minato's tired face brightened up. The trip was no doubt an exhausting one for sure.

“I'm home.”

Spanner smiled, placing his hands on Minato's shoulders. “Welcome back.” Quickly placing a kiss onto Minato’s nose.

Normally he'd go for something a little more passionate, but it looked like Minato needed some rest and a good meal. Spanner would hold back for now. There was plenty of time for kissing.

To his surprise and delight, Minato kissed him back right on the lips without hesitation. Having a knowing look in his eyes.

Maybe Spanner wouldn't have to hold back after all.
