Looming In The Halls

Rinne’s blood ran cold as she caught a glimpse of Lachesis outside the school window. Being so close to so many common folk… It would only spell disaster.

She rushed down the halls, her steps echoed across the tile. There was a lingering feeling as if a phantom was creeping towards her shoulder.

And then there she was.

The youngest sister clad in black and gold, a symbol of darkness and malice.

Rinne’s hand moved to her ring, “I won’t let you hurt anyone here.”

“Oh please, I don’t have interest in dealing with other humans right now.” She smirked, “So how’s your father been?”

Rinne knew she was aiming for her weak spots. Lachesis saw how that affected her back in her labyrinth. The devastation. A potent mixture of grief over his perceived death, and anger towards his past actions. But Rinne was a different person now. Such venom would not pierce through to her.

She only glared back, a fierceness deep inside her eyes.

“How cute.” Lachesis chuckled as she walked up towards her, Rinne soon found her back against the wall. Fighting here would not be ideal at all… But it looked like she didn’t have a choice.

Lachesis had a strong presence. Rinne could just feel the malice that was present deep within her core. The doll underneath that body of clay and hatred. Created by a man with the most twisted desires. It almost suffocating her as she only loomed closer and closer—

Before either of them could make a move, the school bell rang.

“Hmph.” Lachesis took a step back. “I’ll get my chance with you another time.” She then vanished without a trace.

What brought her to Furasu high? Rinne had a feeling there was something more, just exactly what she couldn’t say.
