Limbs Into Flesh

As Lachesis traced her hand across the old book, she could feel the light coarseness touching the tips of her fingers. Able to take in its scent. Feelings of a time she wasn’t there for came into her mind as she read its contents.

Kyoka advised her to take up a bit of reading. She described it as one of humanity's greatest joys that one could take part in. At first she wasn’t entirely sure just how this would help her become more human, she could already read. That wasn’t impossible for a homunculi. But this time it was different.

These words stirred up something within her. Feelings that were completely new to her.

Just then Kyoka walked in, “How’s the reading going Lache-chan?”

“It’s going well. I think I’m beginning to get why you humans like this so much.”

The smile Kyoka had warmed Lachesis’ core. “That’s great to hear!” Casually placing her hand on hers. Lachesis blushed slightly in response, but welcomed this.

That was something else Lachesis had taken note of as of late… Her body began to feel a warmth that was never present there before. She wasn’t cold before per say, there was just nothing there. And she was able to feel a softness that was entirely new to her as well.

Was human blood beginning to course within her? Her limbs once of a doll transmuting into human flesh, now fully able to enjoy the gentle touch of Kyoka?

It was an exciting thought.
