Summary: A moment of closeness.

Placing a gentle kiss against the tip of Ankh’s beak, then on his cheek, the neck following after. Eiji’s lips smiling into the ridges and grooves of a body so different from his own. Taking his time as he trailed kisses up the smooth and pebbled skin of his boyfriend’s arm.
Eiji was unable to contain his laughter when Ankh gripped his face as he kissed the palm of his hand. A gesture that was all too familiar. However this time, it was playful.
Grinning again as he snuggled into the soft feathers surrounding his neck, “I love you, Ankh.”
Instead of responding with words, Ankh spread out his wings. Wrapping them around Eiji, keeping him close. It was so warm and soothing. Both of them could easily lull into sleep right now. They enjoyed the presence of the other, keeping as close as possible.
Just as Eiji was about to close his eyes, Ankh began to preen him. Gently pinching his talons across wayward strands of Eiji’s hair. He couldn’t help but smile again. Eiji snuggled into Ankh, savoring the closeness between them.
Ankh didn’t need to say anything. Through his actions alone— Eiji knew he loved him back.
