Notes: A warmup done for the #ficwip retreat weekend! First time I've done a 3 sentence fic. There were some levels of the warmup to do it in exactly 100 or 500 words, I originally meant to go for exactly 100 but landed in the middle of the two with 250.

Summary: Ankh isn't fond of the beach, or the sea.

Ankh wasn’t too keen on coming here, and why would he be, the sea brought memories from the depths of his mind that he’d rather not be thinking about— his big fight with Eiji, how he was turning into a Greeed before his very eyes and losing his humanity, as his own life was coming to an end, but Chiyoko insisted that everyone came together to celebrate the summer season.
Everyone else was doing their own thing while Ankh sat by himself, finishing his ice cream, looking towards the ocean as the night sky was above everyone, Date and Gotou were helping Chiyoko cook dinner, Hina prepping the ingredients, Satonaka was just sitting by the bonfire with a book, and Eiji— well Ankh didn’t actually know where Eiji was, that was until he sat right next to him and gently placed his hand on top of Ankh’s.
He looked at Ankh with a smile, his dimples out, and with gentle eyes, yet with a look that knew all too well at the same time, Ankh wasn’t entirely sure what Eiji thought of the sea, but he was sure the memories of what happened on that beach still were in his own mind, before he could even dwell on the past— with a gentle kiss he was brought back to the present, those painful thoughts subsiding, and his mind now more at ease, having the smallest of smiles as he gripped Eiji’s hand, Ankh gave him a kiss of his own.
