A Show Of Appreciation

Kaguya didn't want to leave again.

Whenever he'd visit Hotaro's dimension there was always a pain present within the depths of his soul. He wanted to be able to continue to get to know Hotaro. To get even closer to him. To learn every single intricacy he possibly could about him. Once Kaguya's eyes were set on something, he couldn't let it go.

And there was something about Hotaro that tugged at his heart. From the moment he laid eyes on him, he knew that he was special. But as time passed that radiance only continued to grow. Continued to become brighter. Hotaro had become someone who was truly gorgeous.

But Kaguya couldn't stay forever. This he knew. Even if that fact hurt, and hurt like nothing else. So it was important to cherish the moments in this world that he could afford as much as possible.

In the corner of Ichinose Kitchen the pair sat together. Catching up on what had happened to them both since they were last able to meet. The chatter of the usual customers and Tamami filled the air, as well as the smell of her cooking.

As their eyes were turned away, Kaguya gently held Hotaro's hand and placed a kiss.

A light flush colored Hotaro's cheeks. "What was that for?" Not that he was complaining... Far from it, it was sweet.

Kaguya's smile was nothing but radiant. "To show my appreciation for the most important person in my collection."

Hotaro couldn't help but laugh. Now that he knew Kaguya much more closely, whenever he'd go off about his "collection" these days it only brought about laughter. Hotaro knew that even despite how it was framed — he respected him as his own person.

"I appreciate you too, Kaguya."

And there it was: The most gorgeous smile that could be found in any world.
