I think about the symbolism behind Spanner taking off his tie for his first transformation a lot.
How the gesture represents him taking control of his powers, letting himself free from the armor that only held him back, and the hopes and dreams he now carries with him as he fights to help control his new powers and become even stronger than he was before.
That tie symbolized a restraint on powers that could harm him and those around him, but at the same time something was holding him back. But the fact it hasn’t returned since he took it off means he has now moved past it and has grown stronger both as a fighter and as well as a person since.
